The Charleston Hurricanes Women's Rugby Football Club was founded in 2001.  The goals of our club are to promote the sport of rugby in the south, increase women's participation in the sport and represent the fine city of Charleston, South Carolina.  As our team has slowly grown in number and strength, we are constantly reminded of the conservative nature of women in the south and the challenges this presents to developing a full team of 25+ aggressive, tackling, thrill seeking ladies.  We all put our hearts, souls, and bodies into this sport and we consider our teammates more like family than friends.
