Final 15's Match of the Season - April 11, 2008

The Columbia Bombshells wanted another lesson in how to play rugby from the Charleston Hurricanes. They are hosting us Saturday, April 12 at 11am at the fields by Strom Thurmond Wellness Center (on the corner of Blossom and Assembly streets.) Following our game the USC women will be playing Furman in a 7's match. The social will be held at CJ's in Five Points.

The Calendars are here!!! - March 28, 2008 The Charleston Hurricanes 2008-09 calendars have arrived! They are can be purchased online on our Merchandise page, or by contacting a team member. Last Home Game of the Season - March 28, 2008

The Charleston Hurricanes will be playing their last home game of the season against the Columbia Bombshells Saturday, March 29 at the Daniel Island Battery Practice field (if rain at the old Navy Base.) Game time is at 11:30 am, and will be followed by Charleston Outlaws Rugby games at 1pm and 3pm.

The Hurricanes/Shamrocks finished in third place at the 2008 St. Patty's Day Tournament hosted by the Savannah Shamrocks. Thanks to the Shamrocks for the great event and putting us up. The partying was cut short when a citywide blackout forced the bars to quit serving, but everyone was probably a little better off the next day for it. We're already looking forward to next year!

2008 Season Off to a Great Start - March 1, 2008

The Charleston Hurricanes have won the first three games of the year against GSU, Jacksonville, and a motley group of ruggers from all over the Carolinas representing Charlotte. We are ready to face Shippensburg on Saturday March 8, at 1:30pm at the old Navy Base, come out and support us!

Hurricanes Hit North Charleston Coliseum - February 5, 2008 The Hurricanes were back at the Coliseum this year to support our SC Stingrays against the Charlotte Checkers.  We must have been good luck, because the Rays defeated the Checkers 3-2. The girls got a chance to hit the ice during a break in the game and had a great time, but we'll stick to rugby.

2008-09 Rugby Calendars Are In The Works - January 1, 2008

It's time to get excited again about the upcoming 2008-09 Charleston Hurricanes WRFC calendars.  They will be available for purchase at the St. Patrick's Rugby Tournament in Savannah, Ga.  They will also be available online via our web page for purchase using paypal.  Please check out the merchandise link to reserve your copy before they sell out like last year!

Atlanta Harlequins Game - September 1, 2007

The Charleston Hurricanes teamed up with Savannah Shamrocks and Augusta to play Division I Atlanta Harlequins in Augusta, GA. It was a day of crazy weather, but at least it made the ground a little softer.  It was a downpour through most of the game, but rain doesn't stop ruggers!  Atlanta's team flowed as if they knew exactly what the person next to them were thinking.  With a coach now and more time together, we hope to challenge Atlanta again.
